This summar i had a chance to again visit Germany along with my family as part of my professional work. So, during one of the weekends, we had a chance to visit Triberg which has the Germany's highest waterfall.
Triberg is at the heart of the Blackforest region. We travelled by local train which runs through many tunnels. This railway is renowed as one of the most beautiful mountain railways in Europe.
Take a video snapshot of the pleasure of travelling by train to reach Triberg.
Blackforest train journey
All along the journey you can witness the dense ravie forest with its varied moss and fern flora which are canopied by silver firs and spruces of up to 50 m in height. The nature here is spectacularly beautiful with streams running down the mountains. Here, the waters of the Gutach plunge over 160 meteres in seven cascades into the valley below. Granite rock formations all along water streams contribute to the spectacular scenery and this place is the preferred habitat of the delightful squirrels. Here, you can experience the joys of nature and also because of the low mountain ranges, the black forest is a major attraction for hikers. When you walk the main streets of the Triberg town, you can witness lot of wood carvings and also cuckoo clocks.
