How to reach: Reach the nearest city Honnavar by road and hire a local taxi OR Konkan railway running between Managalore and Mumbai has a stop over near to the town

Nearest towns: Honnavar,Bhatkal

Nearest city: Managalore

Nearest airport: Mangalore(165 kms), Goa(220 kms)

Best time to visit: October till March

Nearby destinations: Gokarna (70kms), Jog Falls (90kms)

Accommodation: RNS guest house

They are extremly friendly and helpful. They even sent my lost over Driving license to my home by post :-)

Murudeshwar is a nice and small tourist town having a hill part of the beach itself. On top of the the hill, there is a big lord Shiva's statue. Good part of Murudeshwar is that there is a hotel by name RNS which is constructed on top of the sea itself. There are many floors in this hotel, so if you wish to watch the sea from the top, you may choose this hotel which is on the sea itself. One of the other options is to take a budget hotel called RNS guesthouse which has only a first floor but still you can enjoy the beauty of the sea directly from your room. We had a very nice time meditating in the sit-out of the room which is facing the sea directly.

There are many vegetarian restaurants in the town. But the best one is just near the guest house - again facing the sea. The quality of the food is really high and you can enjoy by hearing sea waves and facing the sea right next to you which was one of the best experiences for us !

Murudeshwar has lots of fishermen boats. As soon as one enters the place, one would be greeted with a powerful fish smell ! There are few JetSkies available for a modest rest.
