Few days back we thought of going out for a day picnic. Just as a refreshment. We got to know about Machnabele Dam by my friend. We then got ready to go to manchanabele dam. This is the Manchanabele Dam

Manchanbele dam is very beautiful place near bangalore. May be around 40 Km from bangalore towards Mysore.

The route is like this : We travelled on the Bangalore - Mysore high way from bangalore. After Kengeri we took a right turn immideately after rajarajeshwari dental college and hospital. Immediately, there is railway gate. The straight road from there we get a big banyan tree. Proceeding further on the same road a few Km we get a ISRO sub station.



Little more further we will see Manchanabele dam. Below is the photograph of manchanabele dam top view. We proceeded few more meters further to reach the water place. If you travel by your own vehicle, you can even take your vehicle near the water itself. But its good to park it little far by not polluting the region around the water.



On the way to this beautiful place, we get some villages. We can see many mango farms. Once we reached the place, we were silent with the nature. We sat for some time peacefully. Since it was a little cloudy day, we could sit near the water for a long time. The humidity was less. Some were swimming on the other side. Children were enjoying in water. We took our lunch which we had there. Far we could see some small hills. During rainy season the water from these small hills come here. The water from this place is used for irrigation purpose. Two men were fishing there. Calm place even for meditation. Some rocks too are there on which we can sit and watch the nature's beauty. We can even see the nice beautiful greenary. Its greenary made us to stay a long time. Far from here a dam is constructed so that the water collected here can be used by the village people. In the above photograph it was a try to catch up the dam being constructed. can you see it? :-)
Look at the two small kids enjoying in nature. The butterflies too loves to be in nature and loving each other.


While coming back we sat form some time in the big banyan tree garden. You feel like sitting in a AC room under the tree. Very cool place. According to the data written there, it is around 370-400 years for the tree.



It was a nice experience for us. You may also plan to visit this place. Only thing is that if we travel to such kind of nature places let us be concious that we are not going to mess it up. But only enjoy the nature. Be one with nature for some time and leave the same others too. I mean to say that let us not make the place dirty with plastic covers etc...
